Business Development Head
Technology: Smart Card Application Development for SmartCard / Terminals / POS / Internet / Readers / SIM / GSM
Location: New York

This is a brand new position for an emerging technology division and your mission will be to work directly with the Director Sales to develop leads and generate sales. The primary objective of the Smart Card Business Development Head is to grow our CyberAds Studio's Smart Card business in the region, ensure the meeting of targets and establish sustained profitability of activity.

Internally, this position interacts with all required resources within the Smart Card Business Unit and the group's sales networks.

The Smart Card Business Development Head will:
    Perform competitive research
    Identify strategic opportunities
    Initiate and conclude the complete sales process to the customers/prospects in the region
    Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously and interact with our client's resources and required partners
    Develop relationship with local media
    Manage relations with regional arms of global partners
    Communicate opportunities and issues to Director-Sales on a regular basis
    Ensure achievement of qualitative and quantitative targets (regional P&L for Smart Card activities).
Key Qualifications/Experience

Ideally, the Smart Card Business Development Head should have:

A Tertiary qualification in a business discipline or related field
6-8 years in a business development or sales position in a related field
Posses a creative and pro-active business acumen and have a drive to succeed
Have a strong understanding of technology
Be team oriented
Have previous experience in the card and/or Smart Card industry
Have an established contact list in the region in the Banking, Telecommunications and/or Government sectors.

Personal Skills:

A possession of and ability to continue building an established referral network and maneuvering through complex political situations
Highly developed communication and analytical skills
Strong financial skills
A creative, flexible, enthusiastic, hands on and focussed approach to work.
Other Preferred Skills & Experience

Key Strenghts:
(1)At least 8 years in sales
(2)At least 3 years' experience managing a sales team and you must have built a sales team from the ground up at some point in your career (preferably in the last 3 yrs)
(3)At least 2 years' selling in the financial vertical and have an extensive rolodex of C-level decision makers.
(4)Have an understanding of Risk Management
(5)Must have at least 1 year in Biometrics, Smart Card, Security, PKI or Encryption and have an understanding of Biometrics.
(6)Must have closed multi-million dollar contacts and have carried a quota of at least 10M.
(7)Bachelorís degree
(8)Sound reasons for job changes.

Compensation:
This Company has an excellent benefits package; Base pay range is 100-140K plus a variable component.

Job "Fit" Considerations:
You must be Independent, self-starter with little need for guidance. Willingness to travel up to 20%. International travel to India and China as well as domestic travel to client sites, exhibitions etc. will be required.

Plus Points:
Prior experience with a card Organisation or large bank. Master's degree. Fluency in French and/or German is an asset (in addition to English). Experience offshore development in India or China is preferred. Must have International business and cross-cultural management experience.

Compensation:
Should not be a constraint for the right person and will include A base salary/package (this component will make up approximately 65% of the total remuneration package) + A bonus scheme (this component will make up approximately 35% of the total remuneration package and is uncapped).
